LG washer drain pump and broken impeller replacement

A customer in Tamarac contacted MSA Appliance Repair because their LG front-load washer had stopped draining.
During diagnosis, our technician found that the drain-pump impeller had broken apart. Without a functioning impeller, the pump could not move water out of the washer during the drain cycle.
A compatible replacement pump was already stocked on the service vehicle, so there was no need to schedule a return visit. The failed drain pump was removed and the replacement was installed during the same appointment.
The repair took approximately 30 minutes, including access, replacement, reassembly and drain-cycle testing.
Result: the LG washer drained properly during testing and was returned to normal operation.

Is your LG washer leaving water in the drum or failing to drain? A proper diagnosis can distinguish a failed pump from a clogged filter, restricted hose or electrical-control problem.
