What the promise means

If the same covered failure returns, contact us first.

Warranty requests receive priority review. We compare the new symptoms with the original diagnosis and completed work, then inspect the appliance when necessary.

If the issue is confirmed to result from covered workmanship, MSA will correct it without an additional service-call or labor charge. If an MSA-supplied part fails during its written coverage period, we address the part and directly related labor according to the coverage stated on the invoice.

Clear boundaries

What is not covered.

The limited warranty applies to the specific covered repair. It is not a guarantee against every future appliance problem.

New or unrelated failures

A different component, symptom or failure outside the original repair scope.

Outside conditions

Power supply, surge, plumbing, water, drainage, venting, pests, improper installation or relocation.

Use and maintenance

Misuse, abuse, neglect, lack of maintenance, normal wear or a pre-existing condition.

Third-party changes

Covered work altered or repaired by another person before MSA has an opportunity to inspect it.

Customer-supplied parts

The part itself, compatibility and performance are not covered unless MSA states otherwise in writing.

Indirect losses

Food loss, loss of use, business interruption, appliance replacement or unrelated property damage.

Warranty FAQ

Straight answers before you need service.

Repairs completed before September 3, 2026 remain subject to the warranty terms stated on their original invoice or service record.

How long is the residential workmanship warranty?+

Qualifying residential repairs completed on or after September 3, 2026 include a 1-year limited workmanship warranty beginning on the repair-completion date, unless a different period is stated in writing on the invoice.

How long is the commercial workmanship warranty?+

Commercial repairs include a 90-day limited workmanship warranty beginning on the repair-completion date, unless a different written period appears on the estimate, work order or invoice.

Are replacement parts covered?+

Coverage for parts supplied and installed by MSA is listed separately on the invoice because the period may vary by manufacturer, supplier and part type.

What happens if the same covered problem returns?+

Contact MSA during the applicable coverage period. If the issue is confirmed to result from covered workmanship, MSA will correct it without an additional service-call or labor charge. A covered part is handled according to the parts coverage stated on the invoice.

Does warranty service restart the warranty period?+

Warranty service does not restart or extend the original coverage period unless MSA states otherwise in writing or applicable law requires it.

Are maintenance and cleaning services covered by the 1-year repair warranty?+

No. Diagnostic-only visits, inspections, preventive maintenance, cleaning services and dryer vent cleaning are not qualifying repairs and do not include the 1-year workmanship warranty unless a different written warranty is stated on the estimate, work order or invoice.
