Washer Leaking Water

Safe first checks

Start here before scheduling service.

01Stop the cycle if water is actively spreading.
02Check accessible supply and drain hoses for obvious moisture or kinks without loosening fittings.
03Confirm the detergent type and amount are appropriate for the washer.
04For front-load machines, inspect the visible door gasket for trapped clothing or debris.

Safety note

If water reaches an outlet or electrical connection, stop using the washer and disconnect power only if it is safe to do so.

✓ The leak appears from underneath the cabinet

✓ Flooring or cabinetry may be affected

✓ The washer also fails to drain

✓ An error code returns with the leak
