Cold line & prep
Reach-ins, prep tables, undercounter refrigeration and qualifying freezers. Temperature loss, airflow, fans, sensors, controls and refrigeration-system performance all need to be separated before parts are replaced.

Cold line • Ice • Cooking • Dishroom
A restaurant does not experience equipment failure one appliance at a time. A warm prep table affects ingredients, an ice machine affects beverage service, an oven affects the line and a dishwasher can slow the entire room. MSA organizes diagnosis around the station, the symptom and the operational impact.
Start with the operation
That question matters because two machines with similar symptoms can create very different business risk. A cooler that holds backup beverages is not the same scheduling problem as a prep table holding active ingredients during service. An oven problem during prep is different from losing the only working oven during dinner.
When you call, tell us what the equipment does for the restaurant, not only what the machine is doing wrong. That context helps the service request start with better information.
Repair by restaurant station
Each station has a different failure pattern and a different effect on restaurant operations.
Reach-ins, prep tables, undercounter refrigeration and qualifying freezers. Temperature loss, airflow, fans, sensors, controls and refrigeration-system performance all need to be separated before parts are replaced.
Back-bar and beverage refrigeration plus qualifying commercial ice machines. Low ice production, warm coolers, drainage, water-delivery and refrigeration problems can interrupt beverage service quickly.
Qualifying commercial ovens and ranges with heating, ignition, temperature, electrical, sensor and control problems. Diagnosis starts with the actual operating symptom, not a parts guess.
Qualifying commercial dishwashers with fill, drain, pump, heating, leak and control problems. Dishroom downtime can affect sanitation workflow and table turns, so the business impact matters when scheduling.

You do not need to diagnose the machine yourself. Clear operating information is enough.
Tell us what is down: refrigeration, freezer, ice machine, oven, range or dishwasher. If several units are involved, list each one separately.
A clear photo of the model/data plate helps confirm equipment identity and service scope before the visit.
Warm, no ice, not heating, not draining, leaking, intermittent, error code or another specific symptom is more useful than simply saying the machine is broken.
Tell us whether the issue affects active food storage, prep, beverage service, cooking capacity or the dishroom so the request can be understood in context.
Power interruption, cleaning, relocation, heavy loading, recent repair, water interruption or a problem that started after maintenance can all be useful clues.
Share loading-zone, parking, building-access, management-authorization or service-window requirements before dispatch whenever possible.
While waiting for service
Always follow your restaurant's own food-safety, sanitation and equipment procedures. The points below are operational preparation, not a replacement for those policies.
Record temperature observations, reduce unnecessary door openings and follow your established product-movement procedures when a unit is not maintaining the required temperature.
Photograph any code or indicator, note whether the machine fills, freezes, harvests or drains, and avoid repeated resets if the same fault immediately returns.
Record whether the issue is no heat, weak heat, ignition, unstable temperature or an electrical/control problem. Do not keep cycling equipment that repeatedly trips or faults.
Note whether the machine fills, washes, heats and drains. If there is active leaking or an electrical concern, follow the restaurant's normal shutdown and safety procedure before service.
Commercial scope
MSA services many qualifying commercial systems, but coverage depends on the exact brand, model and installation. Call with equipment details if you want scope confirmed before scheduling.
Brand names and equipment categories do not imply manufacturer authorization. MSA is an independent repair company. Service availability is confirmed by equipment type, model and current technician capability.
