A click every few minutes followed by silence, while the refrigerator gets warmer, usually means the compressor is trying to start and failing. The cause can be as simple as overheated, dusty condenser coils or as serious as a failed start relay or compressor.

- 04Listen near the bottom rear: the condenser fan should spin whenever the compressor runs.
- 05Avoid repeated unplug-and-replug cycles. Write down the sound pattern for the technician.
